Why we choose the Mansfield Fire Dept. Museum:
Beginning in 1987 with just an idea – the Mansfield Fire Museum was Born!
With the purchase of the former Five Cousins Department store in 1989, the Museum had a home. After about two years of basic building repairs, work on the museum began in earnest. Although the progress seemed slow, and after a few minor setbacks, the Museum was opened on October 12, 1994.
Even though the Museum was open, there were were some things unfinished. Some still remain that way as new ideas are being developed.
It is now apparent that the Mansfield Fire Museum will never be a finished product! It will continue to grown and change as new ides, equipment, and displays come!

This enormous facility has a history of strange happenings and paranormal activity going back many years. Paranormal teams and staff have reported shadow figures roaming throughout the museum, strange sounds, voices, light anomalies and much much more...
